The room was clean, the heat worked, the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet.
It was a little further from the city than I expected - but everything is close in Vienna and it was very near a U-Bahn, so I got to the city quite quickly.

Ideal quiet spot away from the crowds and yet within easy access via public transport to all tourists sites. Easy walking distance to Schonbrunn Palace. Great restaurant "Cafe Schwabl' for homemade local cuisine just around the block.
No major complaints except cleaning person come at an inconvienent time every day - during our siesta! Overall happy with the hotel.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, with a nice breeze coming off the courtyard (all rooms face the courtyard garden). The staff is very helpful and kind (letting us stay well after check out time because one of our kids was feeling sick). Walking distance to the Schoenbrunn Castle is a real plus. You could spend all day there, and there's a wonderful restaurant at the entrance coming from the Pension side. The price is a real bargain. Getting closer to the city center ramps up cost considerably, but if you're not afraid to take the U-bahn (much easier to figure out than the subway in NYC!!), you can be at points of interest in 15 minutes.
Breakfast could use a little improvement. The staff was lovely, but more fruit and even some hard boiled eggs, if they can't serve other hot food, would be great.

Excellent location--next to subway station, friendly English-speaking staff, and decent breakfast.
Parking can be tricky, as some days it may be readily available on the street in front or at the back of the hotel. However, 7 Euro per day that is charged for the hotel (optional) is very reasonable.

The cost performance is excellent. It takes only 15minutes by subway to downtown. The owner works hard to make our stay comfortable. The room was spacy enough and clean. Internet access is fine. There was one English channel on TV. It is 5minutes walk to the Schonbrunn palace. So, I did not plan to visit there, but turned out to visit there twice. Once for a night concert and once for seeing the palace and its garden. The concert on June2 was great and I was happy to stay at Pension Schonbrunn to give me incentive to visit the concert. I was so happy to stay at this pension especially because of the owner's hard work!
There are a few minor stuffs. The towels were rather stiff. There was a fan, but it was a bit hot even I stayed there early in June.

Simple and clean city hotel. You cannot expect some additional extras for this price but you get everything what you need for a stay. Beautiful Schönbrunn park (with amazing zoo) is 2 minute walking distance. Public transport station (U-ban) is 2min. From the hotel and you need 15-20 min to reach the city center. Train intervals are 3-5 min and there is no crowd even in rush time!.Supermarket is in next parallel street. Hotel stuff is very helpful, for example we got extra bed and towels for a kid immediately.Garage is available for reasonable price.
For sure , it is a time to renew the furniture. Yes, it is clean and functional but outdated! Room entrance doors stayed in 80'S. Only LCD,hairdryer and safe in the room gives you impression that it is 2011 today.

Pension Schönbrunn is very close to the Schönbrunn and walking distance to public transportation(Schönbrunn U-Bahn Station). The staff are friendly and helpful. The room that we stayed in was clean. Wireless Internet is available for free in the room so it was very comfortable. Ask the front desk to get the wireless key.
Although it was minor, the floor was creaking when you walk across the room. You could also hear your next door neighbor speaking or when they used the water, but I'm sure they would say the same thing about me. The good thing was that everyone was considerate of each other so it was no problem getting to sleep.

Minutes from the Schonbrunn Palace and a metro stop which made the commute into town easy. Our room faced the street side, but with the windows closed this wasn't a problem (we chose this room over the smaller courtyard room). Typical continental breakfast served and not too expensive parking available, which was a plus.

The friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and quiet rooms. Good location, close to the U-bahn. We have been staying there for many years when in Vienna and enjoy the walks in Schoenebrunn Park.
